BAPUJI EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION  was established in the year 1958, which succeeded in creating an atmosphere of academic excellence in the “Knowledge city of Karnataka” Davanagere. Vision envisaged by the educational legends in the city has ensured that parents who seek quality and excellence in education have turned towards this city which is gaining a steady reputation as an educational hub of Karnataka. Men of vision and great honor ventured towards the great cause of education under the aegis of this robust association. This noble and impressive tradition has been carried forth through the years by distinguished academicians who have shaped various educational institutions to cater to contemporary demands. 57 reputed institutions of the Bapuji Educational Association which include two Medical & Dental sciences colleges, engineering colleges, etc. stand in testimony to the dedicated efforts of this Association. Dr. Shamanur Shivashankarappa is a tall figure to have held the association so high for decades now.
